Mezcalitos Side Tables

The Mezcalitos Side Tables are a series of sculptural, solid wood tables defined by playful proportions and distinct personalities. Each piece stands as an object on its own, while together they form a small family of forms that feel both balanced and expressive.

Their names—Flaco, Gordo, and Chueco—refer directly to their shapes. Slender, stout, or slightly off-center, each table has its own stance and character. This subtle variation gives the series a sense of movement and informality, allowing the tables to be arranged freely rather than symmetrically.

Each Mezcalito is made entirely of solid wood, with both the base and top hand-turned on a lathe. A limestone insert is set into the top surface, introducing a contrasting material while offering a practical surface for everyday use. The combination of turned wood and stone highlights the tactile qualities of both materials without adding unnecessary complexity.

The Mezcalitos can be used as side tables, stools, or sculptural accents in living spaces, bedrooms, or hospitality interiors. They can be ordered individually or as a set. Made to order, the tables may also be produced without a stone top, or with client-provided stone to better match a specific project or interior. Designed to be lived with, they are meant to develop character through use over time.
