Maria Camarena

Maria was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she studied industrial design at the University of Guadalajara. She put her knowledge to work, spending three years at a high-end architectural carpentry firm and running her own furniture studio. She continued learning and creating in Rhode Island, and earned an MFA in furniture design at RISD. Before starting SinCa, she was featured in the New York Times, Domus Magazine, and Design Mexico. 

Dave Sinaguglia

Dave was born in Connecticut, he earned his BFA in sculpture from Hartford Art School. He continued on to UCONN to complete an MFA in sculpture and video, and received a formal woodworking education at the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, RI. His work experience has spanned traditional yacht restoration to high-rise construction in NYC, DC and SF. He has 23 years of experience in woodworking with various aspects of restoration+reproduction of residential and commercial carpentry.
