Fall Studio Intern

SinCa is looking for a skilled and willing to learn student that is looking for a hands on experience. You will learn while working closely with our company’s founders assisting to execute a wide range of creative needs, supporting marketing, research and product development. We specialize in designing and fabrication of wood furniture. Our studio and wood-shop is located in Tolland CT.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

Office Work

  • Maximizing your presentation and computer rendering skills.

  • Research, data creation and organization.

  • Image editing, retouching and uploading for online product creation.

  • Design and production for social media and email marketing assets.

  • Assistance with design and production for digital catalogs and print materials.

  • Assistance with photo shoot planning and execution.

  • As-needed support for various merchandising and editorial projects.

  • Compile and organize contact lists.

Wood-Shop Work

  • Assistance in packaging, handling and shipping orders and samples.

  • Assistance with sanding and finishing samples.

  • Assistance with glue-ups and tasks where non machinery is needed.

  • Helping at clean up and organizing tools at the end of the day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Aesthetic skills, critical judgment of form and visual detail

  • Basic understanding of materials and processes

  • Basic understanding of graphic design

  • Presentation and computer rendering skills ( Ilustrador, In-Design, Photoshop/Lightroom)

  • Self-motivated and passionate about design

  • English proficiency required, Spanish or other languages a plus.

  • A strong eye for art direction and design.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Enthusiastic, willing to roll up your sleeves, and able to troubleshoot to get the job done.
